Apply Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills to Organizational Decision Making
Here's What I've Done -
In one of my HR classes I was tasked with writing a proposal paper with recommendations. The purpose of the paper was to determine how society could get more qualified teachers to want to teach in urban communities. The proposal consisted of a 17 page document including statistical data, charts and written research about a recommended recruitment plan that I created.
Here is What it Means to Me -
This assignment has allowed me to use creativity while conducting research. I was able to use real data and information found from a variety of credible sources and come up with a creative recruitment plan to get more qualified teachers in the areas that need them most. The skills used for this assignment can be applied in the workplace.
Here is Where it Leads Me -
Assignments such as the proposal prepare individuals for projects that can be seen in the workplace. I used the skills I gained from this assignment to formulate a plan at my job for how I would conduct survey to over 1000 people in less than three months. I was able to create mini goals in order to reach my overall goal.
